Compound Selection (Front)
TYPE2 (Hard to Medium): Longer wear life. Best application for Abrasive Race Track and for Endurance Race.
TYPE3 (Medium): For riders who prefer quick response and light handling. For smooth tarmac.
TYPE4 (Soft to Medium): For riders who prefer stable handling. For bumpy tarmac.

Compound Selection (Rear)
TYPE2 (Hard to Medium): Longer wear life. Best application for Abrasive Race Track and for Endurance Race.
TYPE3 (Medium): For abrasive or smooth tarmac.
TYPE4 (Soft to Medium): For less-abrasive or bumpy tarmac.

* The road surface temperature standard for compound selection varies with weather and wind conditions and the time of day, but here is a rough guide:
- Outdoor air temperature +15°C (in sunny weather)
- Outdoor air temperature +5°C (in cloudy weather)

Care and Use at Low Temperature
Battlax BT-003 Racing tyres may crack in the tread area from impact or deformation at low ambient temperature. It is recommended to handle and store the tyres with care. Use of the "Tyre Warmer" before ride is also recommended.
